    Lenovo G40-80 ACLU3 ACLU4 NM A362 not charging
    by G_sene
    Hi, everyone.

I have this notebook that won't charge.
In Windows, the charger icon doesn't appear on the battery, but the charger turns on the notebook normally.

    PU301:

    Pin 5 (ACOK) - 5.97v
    Pin 6 (ACDET) - 1.83v (should have 2.6)
    Pin 16 (REGN) - 6v

PQ308 has no gate voltage, so it doesn't drive PQ309 low

With the battery connected, its voltage goes the reverse way to the jack, having 14v and not 20v:

    PQ301 e PQ302

    Pinos 1,2,3 14v

    Pino 4 5v

    Pinos 5,6,7,8 com 14v...

    Alienware x17 R1 (LA-K472P)

I have a Dell gaming laptop here that initially showed a blink code for a power rail failure (3 red, 5 blue). After having a poke around with the board unplugged for a while, and testing again, the blink code is gone. The board responds to the power button being pushed with the PCH powering up when looked at with a thermal camera, but there are no lights or fans. Can someone help me refresh this BIOS so I can rule that out?

Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 3 ,How to know if the BIOS is corrupted
    by Loki_Fido
Hi everyone, hope everyone's having a great day.

    I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 3 for repair. (20LES3T900)
I looked in every corner and the laptop seems fine. Its pulling 500mA but no display, no noise, nothing.

So I assume its a BIOS issue. I downloaded the BIOS with CH341A and opened it on ME Analyser and didn't receive any errors.
Does this mean the BIOS is fine? making it a hardware issue?

I downloaded fresh BIIOS from the Lenovo site and used Hex Editor replace the Lenovo's BIOS into my BIOS region. But the file size ended up being...

New Members - please post your introductions here
    by petabyte
As this is a brand new forum, I thought I'd open up a thread to encourage new members to introduce themselves a bit.. now hey.. let's not get too personal.. ok ?

And if you wouldn't mind to keep this thread \"clean\" let's try to keep the the chitchat (i.e. even the welcome to the board replies) to a minimum or this thread may get to 100 pages fast

So I'll start things off :

My name is petabyte and I'm a forum junkie. I've been off the wagon for a number of years and countless times I've tried to stop but it's useless.....
